Many of our patients expressed interest in these services, and we’re glad to be able to offer them the convenience of treatment right here at 3V Dental’s modern facility.”

How We Can Help

Many cosmetic dermatological treatments can take years off of your face and address other age-related concerns. These treatments address problems such as wrinkles, sun damage, acne, discolorations, and dull skin. Cosmetic dermatology can not only address problems of the skin, but it can also boost your self-image and self-esteem.

From the older Botox to the innovative PRP (plasma-rich protein), you can find one that fits your needs at 3V Dental Associates in Port Washington. Yes, that’s right! 3V Dental Associates now offers anti-aging treatments administered in our office by Physician’s Assistant Nina Glaittli, PA-C, BS, who will be available at 3V Dental twice a month.

Cosmetic interventions vary from very gentle to intensive and strong. Call us for a consultation to determine which treatments will work best for you. Here are some major anti-aging dermatology services we offer.

Botox Treatments in Port Washington, NY

Botox (botulism toxin) is a non-surgical way to get rid of frown lines on your forehead and crows feet around the eyes. The Botox attacks the lines caused by motion and relaxes the muscles that lead to lines with repetitive use. Without muscle tension, the lines fade. With this therapy, most patients can see an improvement in a few days and lasting results that gradually fade away over four months. The procedure uses a tiny needle and takes close to 10 minutes.

Derma fillers

Sometimes you need a little extra added to your face, particularly in deep lines. Here, fillers permeate wrinkles. The fillers work best for the lines that occur when your face is at rest.

Some of the most used fillers include hyaluronic acid, collagen stimulators, and fat. Hyaluronic acid reduces depressions in the skin and improves contour. Polyalkylimide fills deeper dips, including facial wasting and deeper wrinkles. It plumps lips, too. Polylactic acid causes your skin to produce more collagen.

Fillers add volume to places that lack it creating a smoother look and texture. The treatment takes about 15 minutes and should repeat regularly to keep up the look. They can also work to make lips plumper and increase symmetry.

Micro needling

Micro needling is a new procedure that can change the way your skin produces collagen and elastin. Very fine and very short needles pierce your skin. They only enter the skin at the surface level. In the short term, this procedure gives your skin the pink and plump appearance of youth and makes you more radiant. Over the long term, these repeated therapies increase your skin’s look further by triggering the ongoing production of collagen and elastin. Micro needling can also stimulate hair follicles to promote hair growth in areas where the hair is thinning and reduce cellulite.

PRP (plasma-rich protein) facials at our Port Washington, NY office

A plasma-rich protein (PRP) facial takes your own blood and extracts the plasma from it to stimulate collagen production. Next, they microneedle your skin to help the plasma soak into your face. Sterile needles make superficial punctures into your skin.

The pictures of this (and its nickname “the vampire facial”), with blood and needles, make this treatment look scary, but it isn’t scary at all. What you see is the look of the serum created from your own blood on your face. PRP can truly transform your skin while causing minimal pain. It is also free from allergic reactions.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels are a step in solving several problems from dry and sun-damaged skin to melasma during pregnancy and precancerous conditions. An esthetician applies one of several chemicals to the skin to remove the surface cells. We can help you choose which option is best for your skin.

Some types of peels include Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and are good for fine lines, dry skin, pigmentation problems, and acne. Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) work better on oily skin, addressing acne and clogged pores. Trichloroacetic Acid Peels (TCA) go deeper into your skin to address larger problems like acne scars, deep sun damage, deep wrinkles, and serious discolorations.

This procedure reveals a fresh layer of skin and helps the epidermis regenerate. This treatment is often helpful for acne relief. We use chemical peels to address sun damage, age spots, and other discolorations, lightening dark spots and brightening the look of your entire face.

HydraFacials

Water is the core of HydraFacials, a gentler alternative to traditional dermabrasion. A wand shoots water at your skin while a vacuum sucks up that water and any dirt or damage along with it. It cleanses, exfoliates, and treats the skin with serums mixed into the water. This process takes about 30 minutes and you walk out with glowing skin. The HydraFacial process works for all ages and most conditions. Experts praise it for having consistently excellent results and having little to no pain. HydraFacials grant radiance without the downtime that other treatments require.

Laser facials

Laser resurfacing treatments vary and are a solid solution for a variety of problems. In some treatments, the laser’s energy penetrates the skin, targeting the water molecules inside. It heats them, causing collagen to grow in response. Anti-redness lasers target hemoglobin or pigment clusters. Lasers can remove psoriasis plaque from the skin and fight vitiligo. They can erase spider veins and other abnormal blood vessel treatments such as rosacea. Other layers help save skin tone by reducing the pigmentation problems that happen with aging. Laser surgery can remove tumors, warts, tattoos, scars, and more. Whatever problem your skin has, there is likely a laser treatment to address it. We offer a variety of laser treatments that can be tailored to your particular needs.

Radiofrequency facials

Radiofrequency facials tighten your skin without surgery. The procedure softens fine lines on the face and firms up your skin. It works by heating layers deep within your skin, causing your skin to make more collagen. In your late 20s, the collagen your skin makes begins to decline. Wrinkles and sagging skin are two problems of aging that radiofrequency facials address. It can also help fight sun damage. Experts have designed some radiofrequency treatments to shrink fat cells.
